For some, hunting for deals and saving money online is actually a hobby. Next time you have some free time at the office or are bored at home, consider looking around for discounts. Here’s a few ways you can save money online.
- Shopping comparison sites. When you want to buy something that’s worth over 20 bucks or so, write down the brand and model number of the product. Then go back home and research the item at some shopping comparison site. You might be surprised to find it much cheaper at Amazon, for example. You might find there’s no tax or shipping either.
- Get it on eBay. You can find just about anything on eBay. You can usually find good deals and slightly used laptops and mobile phones if you don’t mind like new items.
- Travel. If you’re planning a vacation you should check air rates as soon as possible. Booking early can save you a pretty penny. you can also sign up to track air fare rates to your destination at places like Travelocity.
- Coupons. Before buying something online, a lot of retail sites have a “coupon code” box. Just do a google search for “store name” + “coupon code” and you’ll find coupons ranging from 15% off to free shipping.
